This is "Today was a Fairytale," a pivotal moment within The Uninvited Guest series. This large-scale piece was created with Prismacolor colored pencils on heavyweight drawing paper.
This composition is heavily and lovingly inspired by the whimsy of Mary Blair and the enchanting landscapes of classic Disney animations I adored as a child. It represents a beautifully constructed fantasy state—a perfect, curated world of fountains and castles. However, in this scene, the "fairytale" is interrupted. After all the running and hiding depicted in other pieces, I am shown caught, fully enveloped within the pink beam of the UFO nemesis.
This piece serves as a striking visual of surrender to the inevitable disruption of the past; it shows that even inside our most perfect constructed defenses and happy places, the "uninvited guest" can still find us, taking us out of the dream and back into the vacuum others cannot see.
This piece, titled "Don't Take the Boy," is a core part of The Uninvited Guest series. This intimate and deeply personal work was meticulously created with Prismacolor colored pencils on heavyweight drawing paper.
Here, I am shown hiding within the perceived safety of my bedroom, a retreat from the encroaching reality outside my window. The focus is on the heartbreaking, helpless feeling of watching something you love—in this case, my dog, my "boy"—being stolen or beamed up into the light of the craft.
This piece illustrates the invisible disruptions of the past; it shows that even in a place of sanctuary, the "uninvited guest" threatens the things that ground you and keep you happy, reminding you that sometimes, you can't even protect what you love most.
This is "Space Girl," a work from my The Uninvited Guest series. This piece was meticulously created with Prismacolor colored pencils on heavyweight drawing paper.
This is me living out my whimsical, retro-futuristic "space girl" fantasy, but of course, there’s a deeper story. Even while floating freely among the stars, she is being beamed up and disturbed by her UFO nemesis.
This piece illustrates that feeling of being "abducted" from your happy place by an unseen weight from the past—the eye that is always watching, even in the middle of a dream.
Night Shower
Inspired by the humid, sun-drenched nights of a summer tour through France and Italy, Night Shower captures the cooling sanctuary of a midnight ritual. This bar is an artist’s answer to the European heat—blending mineral-rich Blue Clay to detoxify skin from a day of travel with the crisp, ozonic scent of sea air and wild lavender.
Hand-poured and wrapped in a bespoke, hand-painted wrapper, it is a tactile memory of washing away the dust of museums and cobblestones to find the quiet relief of the evening.
Florence 25
Italy 25 is a sensory snapshot of a Tuscan afternoon spent cooling off with a glass of red wine sangria. Crafted with a moisturizing blend of Red Clay, Shea Butter, and Goat’s Milk, this bar restores the skin after a day under the Mediterranean sun. Scents of rich wine and summer warmth are encased in a hand-painted wrapper, making this a bespoke high-end oddity inspired by the art of the Italian break.
Paris 25:
A Parisian breakfast captured in wax. Notes of warm buttered toast, nutty pistachio espresso, and a whisper of French lavender. Inspired by slow mornings in Paris, this candle is poured into a handmade clay vessel and finished with a crackling wooden wick. A bespoke tribute to the art of the start.
Olivia
Inspired by morning rituals and the enduring warmth of a lifelong friendship, Olivia captures the essence of a shared cup of coffee and the sweetness of a porch-side chat. This bar is a tribute to my best friend—an artist’s blend of the familiar and the healing, designed to offer the same comfort she brings to every conversation.
Hand-poured with a creamy Goat Milk base, it mirrors Olivia’s own daily life: the rich, grounding aroma of a fresh brew paired with the ethereal, golden scent of wild honeysuckle. To address the physical toll of a busy life, we’ve infused it with Turmeric to naturally soothe inflammation and calm the skin. It is a tactile memory of summer mornings and the quiet strength of a friend who always shows up with a coffee in hand.
