Fox and Laurel is a return to the things that make me, me. After years of sharing the rules of art as an educator with a Master’s degree, this studio is where I come to break them—or perhaps, to rediscover the magic of my own "Honest Perspective." It is a space where the tactile world of clay and the ethereal world of scent collide. Every piece in this collection is a high-end oddity, 100% handmade and deeply bespoke. From the hand-thrown vessels that hold my coconut wax candles to the hand-painted wrappers on my goat milk soaps, I treat every object as a piece of fine art.

My process begins in the dirt. I spend my mornings in my garden, tending to the herbs and botanicals that eventually find their way into my scents. By blending these homegrown ingredients with high-quality oils, I create "fragrance memories" that are as layered and lived-in as a vintage journal. Each scent is a timestamp of my own history—like the anti-inflammatory blend of turmeric and coffee inspired by a lifelong friendship. These are not just functional goods; they are a curated exploration of my French and Scottish heritage and my travels through sun-drenched European streets.

Parallel to the apothecary is my fine art, where I use dream-logic to explore the tension between whimsical beauty and the lingering shadows of my past. My work uses surrealist metaphors—like the "uninvited guest" of a UFO—to show how the past can suddenly interrupt our most peaceful moments, taking us out of our happy place in ways others cannot see. In a world increasingly smoothed over by digital perfection, I choose to keep the "honest" mistakes: the skewed perspective and the thumbprint in the glaze. Fox and Laurel is a sanctuary for work that is vulnerable, imperfect, and unmistakably human.

I’m so glad you’re here.
