This is "Space Girl," a work from my The Uninvited Guest series. This piece was meticulously created with Prismacolor colored pencils on heavyweight drawing paper.
This is me living out my whimsical, retro-futuristic "space girl" fantasy, but of course, there’s a deeper story. Even while floating freely among the stars, she is being beamed up and disturbed by her UFO nemesis.
This piece illustrates that feeling of being "abducted" from your happy place by an unseen weight from the past—the eye that is always watching, even in the middle of a dream.
